Some thoughts on Computer Evidence in Courts:- Believe no-one; trust no-one. programmes and data can be altered, leaving no traces of the alteration. whilst manual records may reveal tampering or alterations, computer records stored on a magnetic medium may be altered by writing over a record, thereby obliterating the previous record without leaving any trail of the source of the change- UNLESS one were able to hire a specialist in meta-data and one had a MILLION pounds to pay them...It is an unfair world.'
